Upi Payment News: After January 1, UPI payment users across the country may have to pay additional charges. Third party app users may have to pay this additional charge. In fact, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has decided to levy an additional charge on the UPI Payment Service (UPI Payment) run by third party app providers from 1 January. This may affect GooglePay, PhonePe users. At the same time, Paytm is excluded from this scope.

According to a report by News18, the NPCI across the country has imposed a cap of 30% over the third party app on the new year. It is believed that due to this decision of NPCI, third party apps like Google Pay, Phonepe, users have to pay extra charge.

It will affect them – It is being told that due to this decision of NPCI, the service of GooglePay, PhonePe and Amazon Pay can be expensive. However, these companies have not said anything on this yet. At the same time, NPCI has not imposed additional cap on the app like Paytm.

Hence the decision- According to sources, the NPCI has decided to impose a 30% cap on UPI payment users to end the company’s dominance. This decision may make the service of third party app providers expensive.
