West Bengal: “Never was a man conceived who can purchase Asaduddin Owaisi with cash,” the AIMIM boss said today, hitting back at Mamata Banerjee after the Bengal Chief Minister said the BJP is “spending crores of rupees to acquire a gathering from Hyderabad to isolate Muslim votes”, in a clear reference to Mr Owaisi’s gathering. The Lok Sabha MP said Muslim citizens are not Ms Banerjee’s “jagir” or property.
“Never was a man conceived who can purchase Asaduddin Owaisi with cash. Her charge is outlandish and she is anxious. She should stress over her own home, so a significant number of her kin are going to BJP. She has offended the electors of Bihar and the individuals who decided in favor of us,” the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) boss said a day after Ms Banerjee’s assault.
Mr Owaisi’s gathering, after its great show in the Bihar get together surveys, has declared to challenge in following year’s Bengal gathering political decision.
The AIMIM won five seats in the Muslim-overwhelmed Seemanchal district in Bihar, circumscribing West Bengal.
“To separate the Muslim votes, the BJP is spending crores of rupees to acquire a gathering from Hyderabad. The arrangement is that BJP will eat into Hindu votes, and this Hyderabad gathering will eat into Muslim votes. In ongoing Bihar decisions, they did likewise. This gathering is a B-group of the BJP,” Ms Banerjee said at an assembly in Jalpaiguri on Tuesday.
“So far you’ve just managed faithful Mir Jaffers and Sadiqs. You don’t care for Muslims who think and represent themselves. You’ve offended our electors in Bihar. Recall what happened to parties in Bihar that continued accusing their disappointments for ‘vote cutters. Muslim electors aren’t your jagir,” Mr Owaisi tweeted, reacting to the Trinamool boss’ comments.
