
Kolkata: A three-part group of the Central Bureau of Investigation on Sunday visited TMC MP and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee’s home in front of the impending Assembly races in the state.
CBI authorities have arrived at the TMC MP’s home in south Kolkata to serve notice to his better half to join the test in the coal sneaking case, sources inside the test office said.
The focal test office as of late directed various assaults at 13 areas in four locale of West Bengal – Purulia, Bankura, Pashchim Bardhaman and Kolkata – regarding the coal trick case.
The hunts were led at the premises of Amiya Steel Pvt Ltd in Kolkata and Bankura and that of Joydeb Mandal, the supposed representative of the associated head boss with the racket Anup Manjhi.
In November a year ago, the CBI had booked Manjhi false name Lala, Eastern Coalfield Ltd General Managers Amit Kumar Dhar (of then Kunustoria territory now Pandaveswar zone) and Jayesh Chandra Rai (Kajor zone) other than ECL Chief of Security Tanmay Das, Area Security Inspector, Kunustoria Dhananjay Rai and SSI and security in-control Kajor zone Debashish Mukherjee.
Manjhi is purportedly engaged with unlawful mining and burglary of coal from leasehold mines of ECL in Kunustoria and Kajora regions. The illicit exhuming and burglary of coal in the leasehold territory of ECL was purportedly done in “intrigue” with authorities of ECL, CISF and Railways, PTI revealed.
