
Chandigarh: The Center has picked Punjab to direct a dry run of COVID-19 immunization on December 28 and 29, state Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu said on Thursday.
“The areas of Ludhiana and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar have been chosen for the dry run,” he said in an official articulation in Chandigarh.
Mr Sidhu said the dry run is pointed toward testing the spread out components for the immunization turn out in the wellbeing framework.
“It will give bits of knowledge on any holes or bottlenecks with the goal that those could be tended to before the beginning of the COVID-19 drive.The dry run is to be led in a couple of regions under the general authority of the locale gatherer/justice,” he said.
The priest said vaccination accomplices the UNDP and the WHO at state-level would uphold the dry run.
He said the drive is proposed to be directed in four states- – Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat and Punjab.
