New Delhi: With a spray in Covid cases in five states, Delhi will make it fundamental for those showing up from those states to convey a negative Covid test report from Friday, sources say.

Individuals heading out to Delhi from Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab by flights, prepares or transports should show a negative RT-PCR test from Saturday to March 15. Those entering Delhi by street have been absolved.

Official orders will be given sometime in the afternoon.

Sources say the Delhi government took the choice in light of the fact that in the previous week, 86% of the new infection cases have risen up out of these states.

Officials in these states will be approached to confirm Covid negative reports from tests required as long as 72 hours before the trip prior to permitting travelers to leave for Delhi.
